Difference between classicism and romanticism is that classicism put out restrictions,whereas romanticism believes in liberty. Classicism presents urban life , whereas romanticism presents rural life. classicism believe on subjectivity and romanticism believes in objectivity. classicism is about intellectual and romanticism is about imagination.
Classicism and Romanticism are two different ideology. Classicism believes in object ivory and Romanticism believes in subjectivity.
➤Why does Wordsworth say 'What' is poet? rather than Who is poet?
Wordsworth said that poet is man speaking to men , but he have more lively sensibility , enthusiasm and tenderness.he should have greater knowledge of human nature and his imagination can create something which is not present there.so a poet defers in degree of spirit,emotion and feeling.Wordsworth also use platonic word 'comprehensive soul'.

Poetic diction means ,"choice of words". Wordsworth prefers that language of poetry should be so simple which can understand by people of countryside,it should have not unnecessary or ornamental words which are limited to dwellers. Coleridge disagree with Wordsworth that his poem ,' Michael' not deal with the things that he talked about .it not happen with everyone,its topic is exceptional.so we can say that poetic diction is something which can understand by majority of people whether they are urban or rural people.
