Structuralism
Gérard Genette (born 1930) is a Frenchliterary theorist, associated in particular with the structuralist movement .His best known in English through the section , " Narrative Discourse  : An essay on method. "

  In literary theory, structuralism is an approach to analyzing the narrative material by examining the underlying invariant structure. For example, a literary critic applying a structuralist literary theory might say that the authors of West Side Storydid not write anything "really" new, because their work has the same structure as Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

If we look at the film, ' Dilwale Dulhaniya le jayenge '  we can find the same story formula that boy and girl love each other  but girl's family have objection with their love and at the end resolution.

 In the film , ' Heropanti '  we find that same story of love that heroine 's elder sister loves a boy but in fear of father, she escaped with him that family not accept their relationship.

 So we can say that same theme of love, sometimes same pattern and sometimes different structure. We can say there is a common phenomenon with different pattern.everything is relational , individual can never be utterly good .

 In matter of T.v serial , most of Ekta kapoor 's serials have same stereotypes or structure , all have same basic content of relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in -law , their conflicts , dilemma , unity of family and struggle with outwards elements.same formula in all serials.

For example , " kasam tere pyar ki " with theme of love , conflicts between all relationship , love as strong element and struggle of character to get their immortal love in their every birth.

In many add have same structure and meaning we find , 
In Advertisement of , " sansodyne toothpaste " in most of its add have same structure and dialogue about sensitivity of teeth and suggest to use sansodyne toothpaste in same manner.

 While in Advertisement of , " Horlicks " we find different structure or meaning for same thing. We can see that , " for fearless in exams,  for more nutrition , for more power and health in growing child.. we can say change in significance , each and every signs brings many meanings.
The significance of various signs change according to different situation or place , meaning keeps on changing from time to time . Structuralist concerned with signifier not with signified. Significance are different , with variety of meaning , with many perspective.

 In literature we find common narrative structure of love, revenge and quest .

Literary text , for example ,  "  How much land does a man really need ? " Story about quest of human beings . " Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde " is also theme of quest , that man not satisfied with what they have.

 " Fire and ice " 
Amoretti XXX: My Love is like to ice, and I to fire

Fire and Ice by Robert Frost 

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

In both poem we can say same sign of fire and ice, symbolism of same thing but with different meaning. Fire and ice have same feeling of burning  and capacity of disaster. 

 In poem of Spenser , poet compares his love with he is like fire and his love is like ice ,that coldness of his love will melted him, with power of love. In poem of Robert Frost sign use as compared with desire and hate , both have capacity of ending the world and dangerous for world .so we can say different meaning of same sign in both poem.
